Jumeirah Lakes Towers is a community of residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings surrounding a series of lakes located in the New Dubai part of the city of Dubai. This master-planned development is adjacent to the Dubai Marina, Internet City, Emirates Golf Club and the American University in Dubai. The Dubai Metals and Commodites Center (DMCC) will occupy space in the middle of the development. Jumeirah Lakes Towers has freehold residential. commercial and mixed use buildings where citizens and foreigners alike can purchase property in Dubai. Some of the buildings will be designated for residential living only and some will be commercial only, while there will also be a number of mixed use buildings combining residences, corporate offices, hotels and retail stores. Most buildings will offer ground floor retail stores, often connecting the buildings within each cluster. If you can’t find what you need here, nearby is every conceivable convenience, including supermarkets, retail malls and outlet centers.

Residential buildings

There will be a total of 40 residential buildings with a variety of living options when Jumeirah Lake Towers is completed. Goldcrest Views 1 and 2 are luxury apartment buildings with over 700 1-4 bedroom apartments in both buildings. Green Lakes Towers are 3 residential buildings that will have a total of 768 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. Other apartment buildings that are open or scheduled to come on line this year are Lakeshore Towers, The Palladium, Lake City, Liwa Heights, The Icon, The Armada Towers and many others. There are a number of residences that are currently available, and many more set to open soon.

Commercial buildings

26 commercial buildings, hosting a wide array of businesses and offices, will surround the four planned lakes in the development. The Saba Office Tower, built in conjunction with the Saba Twin Towers residential buildings, is a 36 floor office building with 360,000 square feet of office space available and was the first building opened. Fortune Tower is another freehold office tower that is open for business now. A number of other commercial towers are under construction, with openings set for this year and next.

Mixed use buildings

Mixed use buildings will constitute residences, hotels and businesses. There will be a total of 13 mixed used towers at Jumeirah Lake Towers. Indigo Tower is the first mixed use building scheduled for completion, set to open later in 2007. Another mixed-use building, Bonnington Tower, currently under construction, will be 40 floors of residences and a luxury hotel. The 1, 2, 3 bedroom apartments will be available as holiday homes that can be used for 4 weeks a year. Other mixed use buildings will be available in 2008 and 2009.

The impressive 63 storey Almas Tower will be the centerpiece of the entire community which forms the 79th tower in the project.
The man-made lakes that consist of four separate water bodies that will cover 255 thousand square meters. The lakes will be approximately 3m deep.
Out of these 79 towers, 3 towers will be developed by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. These are the Almas, Au and Ag Towers.
The four lakes in the community, Almas West, Almas East, Elucio and Allure, will be completely filled by September 2008.
