Dubai Sports City

Dubai Sports City is a master planned sporting city that is currently under construction in Dubailand, the huge multi-purpose development that will double the size of developed land in the Emirate. This is set to be the first exclusively sporting-oriented community in the world and will have freehold residences where anyone can purchase property. There will be state-of-the-art sporting venues, training academies, an 18-hole championship golf course, residential towers and buildings, retail stores and businesses and a host of other facilities to accommodate the sporting life.

Dubai Sports City encompasses 500 million square feet, or 46.5 million square meters, of land on the edge of Dubailand. It is located along Emirates Road, next to the Dubai Autodrome and Business Park. Residential facilities are currently under construction. The first available residences in this unique community should come on line by the end of 2007 and are available for purchase now.

Residences in Dubai Sports City include apartment towers, townhouses and villas. Victory Heights is a community of stylish villas and townhouses set around The Dunes, the 18-hole golf course. The Canal Residences will line a downtown Sports City waterway near the heart of all the action. Throughout Sports City will be health clubs, an Olympic size swimming pool and other amenities.

Famous sporting academies will be located in here, hosting some of the world’s most promising youth athletes living in the ideal environment. Manchester United Soccer School, ICC Global Cricket Academy, David Lloyd Tennis Center and Butch Harmon School of Golf will all have a home in this sporting paradise. The Bradenton Academy will operate here as well, allowing school-age students to liver here full time, attend school and their chosen sports academy.

The Dunes is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ernie Els, one of the world’s best golfers. The golf course is set to open in late 2007 and will have a clubhouse and be the center for several living communities, including Victory Heights. Tennis courts and swimming pools will also line the course and surrounding communities.
